I have upcoming glass fusing workshops, starting in mid October 2017. Do you fancy making your own Christmas gifts or framed artworks? Then this is the course for you. It’s also a great way to unwind and meet new creatives. The glass fusing course will be one session a week over three or four weeks. They are available on Tuesday mornings, Thursday nights and Saturday mornings. Contact me to add your name to the list. Maximum class size in 6 adults.
Here is a little video explaining what you will learn together with an example of what glass fusing looks like and what you will be doing in the sessions.
The video explains about my upcoming glass fusing workshops. The next one is in Celbridge but other locations are available. I also do one to one’s.
If you’d like to book a place, email me on: veramcevoy@gmail.com.
Please contact me if Celbridge doesn’t suit you.
What you will learn:
These glass fusing classes will introduce you the joys of working with brightly coloured glass to design and create a glass image for framing, a slumped (curved) glass piece for display and two small pieces of jewellery. Each one of these art pieces would make an ideal gift.
Glass fusing is about layering pieces of glass together. They are placed in the kiln overnight at controlled temperatures where the glass melts and fuses together to create a beautiful image. All class material, kiln firing, one small picture frame and light refreshments are included in the course fee. Morning or evening sessions are available. No previous experience of working with glass required.
On completion of the course participants will have gained a knowledge of glass fusing and have make your own original small scale artworks for framing or as a gift.
What you need:
Come as you are. All materials, all glass and one picture frame are provided. No experience required, just a willingness to have fun and to creatively explore self-expression in a bright, colourful process.
I also do other workshops including ceramics, printmaking, fibre art and other processes so watch out for my introductory videos. Looking forward to welcoming and meeting you.
