I am delighted to be part of a select group of outstanding local artists, designers and makers entitled Original Kildare. Being part of your very own creative tribe is so empowering and supportive.
Original Kildare are a group of Kildare based designers, creators and makers who have come together to showcase their beautiful skills, products and awards.
We first met in late 2019 and worked together with a consultant facilitator for a period of over 6 months. We discussed and planed our name and logo, our creative direction, marketing strategy and planned our stunning new website. We are a great mix of skills and talents. While initial discussions and group progress was a little slow to begin with we very quickly decided on a clear cohesive path and direction.

Our products are a mix of paintings, bog oak sculpture, jewellery, cards, furniture, photography, to mention a few and of course myself with printmaking and fused glass works. See our website and outstanding range of products here.
We had wonderfully exciting plans for our official launch in late April 2020 … however the COVID 19 virus had arrived. We are up a running as a collective and our big launch will happen whenever the time is right. In the meantime we are making plans for the coming festive season in December 2020. This endeavour has been made possible by the collective energy of the group and by a commitment of the following partners, to whom we are very grateful.
Original Kildare was established through a training programme developed by County Kildare LEADER Partnership and Kildare County Council Local Enterprise Office. The project received grant aid from Kildare Local Community Development Committee and support from County Kildare LEADER Partnership financed by the Irish Government under the Rural Development Programme 2014-2020 and by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development: Europe investing in rural areas.
