Making MAC is a project of Celebrating Creativity in Older Age 2021. The project is funded by Creative Ireland and supported by Kildare County Council.

The Making MAC project was launched during Bealtaine in May 2021 with introductory public sessions and in nursing homes. Thanks to the Riverbank Arts Centre for supporting these sessions.

Making MAC is a welcome and inclusive space for viewing and chatting about art from the Kildare Municipal Collection. Participants are encouraged to discuss what they can see in terms of colour, brush strokes, line, shape and what thoughts or words the work evokes, it is not about art knowledge. No previous art awareness is necessary for participation.
