Glass fusing, in an off-white frame, without glass. The glass piece dimensions are 15cm x 15cm and the frame size is 50cm x 40cm. The glassless frame encourages the viewer to experience the tactile quality of the glass as well as the visual vibrancy of colour. The work is developed by firstly starting with a clear glass base where particles and shards of coloured glass are placed on it to create an image, which is then kiln fired for at least 24 hours, at controlled temperatures.
