Beginner Stage 1
This workshop builds on the introductory session, offering students more technical knowledge and glass cutting skills. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of what happens within the kiln during the fusing process, the materials, techniques, and processes involved in cutting sheet glass and adding metal inclusions in your work.
During the session you will learn how to cut glass and how to use a variety of tools. There will be two suggested designs available if you wish to cut and complete these designs. Experimentation will take place with metal inclusions to add and create a wide variety of effects which can add to your glasswork and skills. If you wish to work to your own design contact Vera in advance of the class with your ideas for discussion and advance preparation.
